Wowzer this wedding! Matthew and Vanessa giggled, laughed and cried through their day at the amazing Chateau la Durantie in the heart of South West France.
From the moment I walked into her room she was just so happy and friendly. Vanessa and her girls had the best time getting ready in the morning. The bridal suite at Chateau La Durantie is to die for!
Matthew and his friends where busy having a game of pool in the games room.
The moment she had been waiting for - walking down the aisle with her dad. A very proud moment for him.
Followed by a procession of the ushers and bridesmaids. She included her grandad in the this which I thought was such a lovely touch. He rocked it!
Vanessa and Matthew chose to get married in front of the amazing bandstand in the grounds. The lovely celebrant Piers Lane had the couple in fits of giggles with his beautiful personal ceremony that didn’t leave a dry eye, including me.
Gorgeous spot for a wedding at Chateau La Durantie.
It was great fun to watch them opening their champagne and their family and friends quickly got sutck in.
The family group shots didn't take long - no one likes standing round for hours doing those. I always tell couples to keep to a minimum so you get more time to enjoy yourselves. BUT they are really special as it's not very often your family and friends are all together and all looking amazing.
The staircase at chateau La Durantie is one of the best I have ever seen and makes a perfect backdrop for a glamorous photo shoot.
The day was a mixture of sunshine and showers. We went out quickly into the gardens and managed to get a few shots when the heavens opened and we all had to run back. It was great fun running and taking pics whilst the girls screamed and ran for shelter.
The speeches where some of the funniest I have ever heard. The two bestmen did an Ant and Dec style Take Away Chateau. It had us all in stitches - great fun!
The rain finally passed and we managed to nip out again for a walk around the grounds.
Back to the marquee for the party to start. They danced to 'because your gorgeous' and a moment I will never forget. What a perfect day!
